Prime Minister Imran Khan Talks About East and West

Prime Minister Imran Khan's Special Interview with Hamza Ali Abbasi on Hum News | 05th Dec 2020

Study of two civilizations.

When you become classic slave by the time. We try to speak like masters, try to behave like them. Sind Club, Aitcheson College, Gymkhana Club, Punjab Club, CSS Academy; you are not allowed to wear Pakistani dress.

When you analyze, we become different. When a Muslim analyze, can I get westernized, the answer is no.

Same way, I used to analyze my daily mistakes every night before sleeping.

The celebrities are not like as they look like.

Divorce rate has increased from 7% to 60-70% in 30 years (from 70s). Family system was in last stages. Especially universities were getting free from religion.

Pakistan has two main strengths; faith in Allah SWT, Hereafter and family system.

Welfare system in the west is the best; education, legal, medical treatment, unemployment benefits, children, women, old age.

We have only family system.

They started advertising the drug takers as normal. sex drugs and rock and roll started stepping in and family system got weaker.

In Islam, you are not allowed to advertise your sins or others.

Western Hollywood started change in 70s, Indian Bollywood started following in 80s. Cultures and civilizations influence each other. It’s responsibility of intellectuals to define what should be adapt and what shouldn’t be.

We have three categories; English liberals westernized, Urdu and religious.

English liberals westernized follow west blindly.

When you analyze and make effort then you find the ways. You have to study a lot. Iqbal, Shariati and others.

Five-time prayers; we ask for right path (path of dignity – Holy Prophet pbuh) and not for wrong one.

When we don’t know, we feel that right path is boring one.

Rich celebrities are using drugs, have no family, suicide. Children suicide.

Glamour looks different but behind the scene, it’s different.

Happiness and satisfaction is in Allah’s path. Soul connected with Allah SWT.

Instant pleasures are in drugs, addictions. You have to increase the dose every time. It’s diminishing / changing all the time.

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre; December 29, 1994; was the moment when I felt the difference between real happiness and instant pleasures.

Role models changed from cricket to pop stars and now Holy Prophet pbuh. This is path of dignity.

Al-Qadir University; 8, 9, 10 classes will study as subject. Sargodha University PhD. 25:00

There are two mindsets; personal or society building. Personal benefits are not long lasting. Society building is long lasting concept. Prophets, pious people live even after their death. Ishfaq Ahmed is one of those.
Negative use of mobile phone is posing challenges. You have to provide alternatives. You can dive down the society, also you can educate them with high morals. Civilizations collapse when compromise moral values. Mughal Empire, Roman Empire, Greek Empire; fall down due to moral fall. Pious and miser; scholar and ignorant; never equal. In the west, still truth and honesty is prevailing.
Singapore prime minister Lee Kuan Yew; corruption control is both government and society responsibility. His minister Teh Cheang Wan committed suicide when he faced corruption charges.
Suspended City Commissioner Maddox & Associate Carter-Smith Plead Guilty to Corruption & Tax Charges. Wife divorced, one son committed suicide, other one died with depression.
Parliamentarians come with preparation for policies in the west; economy, foreign policy, COVID. Prime Minister conducts QA sessions.
Spent 1 Billion Rs in Swiss. 6000 Billion in 2008, 30000 Billion in 2018 debt liabilities.
O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be [a case against a] rich or poor [person]: for God must be given preference over them. Follow not the lusts [of your hearts], lest you swerve, and if you distort [justice] or decline to do justice, verily God is well-acquainted with all that ye do. (Quran 4:135) (emphasis added)
Equality is the most important phenomena in the promotion of political culture. Every state claims that it provides opportunities of equality and equity to its citizen. It seems like a very novel idea, however the Holy Quran, centuries before, stated, “So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth.” 6 In this way, Allah has made it mandatory for the state, especially the Judiciary, to be impartial during decision making. This reference clarifies the Law of Equality and respect for humanity. A very interesting incident can be quoted here in support of equality, once a woman from the tribe of Quraish stole something, and Hazrat Osamah was sent by the tribe to request the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to concede for the woman. As Hazrat Osamah began talking to the Prophet (PBUH), the Prophet’s (PBUH) facial expression changed, and he addressed the people by telling them that before them, many nations fell into failure when a poor person caught stealing was punished which a rich person caught stealing was spared. He (PBUH) continued by swearing by Allah that if his own daughter were to steal, her hand would be cut off. 45:00

[Don't die before you're dead.

Do I prefer to grow up and relate to life directly, or do I choose to live and die in fear?

Soldiers and children do as they're told. Children grow out of it, but soldiers just die.

To have a dream is a do or die so you have to persuade it with patience; you must have a room for challenges and a room for criticisms.]

Faith of Hereafter and the Creator; has a great power. The power of the crowd [describes the crowd's ability to exert influence. This phenomenon can be observed in many sectors, such as social sciences, politics and economics. In practice it describes how interests can be enforced, problems solved and changes implemented with the help of many individuals].

It isn't enough to think outside the box. Thinking is passive. Get used to acting outside the box.
