A thousand strikes of the sword on one’s head

Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:92
لَن تَنَالُواْ الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنفِقُواْ مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَيْءٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ
[But as for you, O believers,] never shall you attain to true piety unless you spend on others out of what you cherish yourselves; and whatever you spend - verily, God has full knowledge thereof. 

Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:216
كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Fighting is ordained for you, even though it be hateful to you; but it may well be that you hate a thing the while it is good for you, and it may well be that you love a thing the while it is bad for you: and God knows, whereas you do not know. 

Al-Furqan (The Criterion) 25:28
يَا وَيْلَتَى لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا
Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend!

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Verily if you are not killed then you are going to die anyway, and I swear by the One Who holds Ali’s soul in His Hand, a thousand strikes of the sword on one’s head is easier to bear than to die in one’s bed.’

Zindagi Mein Unhi Ke Imtehan Bhi Sakht Hote Hain….”
mita de apni hasti ko agar hazaar martaba chahe, ke dana mitti se mil kar hi gule gulzar hota hai! 
It means let go of all your attachment to worldly possessions, including your desire for power and position and allow yourself to be annihilated (destroyed utterly; obliterated) to be razed to the ground. For only when a seed becomes dust, and is buried, does it germinate into a new plant!

Muqaddar ka na kar shikwa tu tadbeer aazmaate ja....
Na darr manzil ki doori se qadam aage badhaate ja....!!
