Key to manage anger:
External stimulus response is animal instinct. Press tail of cat with your hand, foot and see the reaction. Love in response to love, hard reaction in response to harsh attitude. Then our instinct is equal to cat. Human, if normal, has an additional zone in between action and reaction i.e, ikhtiar, option. It has the power to speed up or slow down the reaction. Reaction + Ikhtiar = Response. Responsible = Response - Able. Able to response. Ability to respond. This is human flavor. Mother beat 2 years old child but same lady acts differently when faces immigration officer. We use our powers unconsciously. We have to use it consciously. She was angry with husband but beat child. I shouted on one. He / she slaps on my face or after a while comes to me. Sir, I respect you a lot. Can you please tell me, what made you so angry on me? Both scenarios are different. Intelect, conscious, knowledge, imagination, past memory; all play the role. This is called situation handling and it makes a positive memory. If you practice this situation handling for few times, you will become very strong. This is self enhancing, self improvement process. Sometimes meditation helps. Record your observation whether reaction makes you strong or response. Bad memories act whenever situation activates them. When you was 2 years old, you saw some mishap. Now unconsciously it worked if you have not properly addressed your meory. These memories can be replaced. But it needs some conscious effort. People will talk, he got changed. Quick response is animal instinct. Arrange to make an interval like write on paper 'Let me think' before my response. Some people call it, 9 second interval rule. Write down the bothering memory scenarios and call each and everyone, and say, let me think about. Your response will change. Gap between stimulus and response will increase with this practice. It means more development of human instinct. Time will come stimulus and response both will disappear. Personality will shine like star, moon or sun. na ashiq raha nah mashooq raha, ishq reh gia. Meditation and practice is great treatment. This is secret of replacing bad habit. Set up a network. Make friends who can push you to do what you want to do. Utilization of conscious, intellect, brain.
